THE STORY

2005

Six hundred pixels were purchased.

MonPremierMillion.com appeared on The Million Dollar Homepage, a 1,000 × 1,000 pixel experiment where advertising space was sold for one dollar per pixel.

2005

A French million-pixel site was launched.

The original Mon Premier Million presented its own one-million-pixel idea across a map of France, with a price of 1€ per pixel.

The website disappeared.

The link stayed embedded in the original grid while the site behind it eventually vanished and the domain expired.

2026

The domain came back online.

Twenty-one years later, the same domain was registered again. If you arrived from that tiny French flag with the question mark, you just completed a 21-year-old hyperlink.

This page preserves a small piece of early internet history: one of the French million-pixel websites inspired by Alex Tew’s Million Dollar Homepage during the pixel-advertising boom of 2005.
